Space Hippie
Nike set out to rethink how products are made, with an ambitious goal to create a performance shoe from recycled manufacturing waste. The Space Hippie line emerged from this effort of radical experimention in circular design, reclaiming factory scraps, surplus materials, and byproducts. The films document the designers and engineers behind the project, revealing how sustainability became a driving force shaping both the product and Nike’s future.
I produced and edited multiple short-form edits and vertical cutdowns designed for Nike’s website, apps, and social channels, adapting the core story into concise formats optimized for mobile viewing and rapid engagement across platforms.

Filming took place across Nike’s research labs, design studios, and partner factories, offering rare behind-the-scenes access to the teams behind Space Hippie. The films focused on the people and decisions behind the product, showing how constraints, experimentation, and material innovation shaped the final result.

The films embraced the same spirit of experimentation that defined the Space Hippie project itself, using unconventional compositions, tactile close-ups, and expressive graphics to reflect the process of discovery behind the product. The approach prioritized curiosity and materiality, creating a visual language that echoed Nike’s willingness to rethink assumptions and push beyond traditional methods of design and manufacturing.
